Thanks for a very thought-provoking article. And for the response, which I will read tonight.

There is a consensus for a two-state solution with Palestine, a consensus that includes most Hamas voters, but Hamas has been given no room to climb down from its historic positions, no time to explore ways in which it can come to terms with the reality of Israel.

Encouraging and glorifying suicide bombers who slaughter innocent people is a path from which there is no return, at least not in our lifetimes. How those Pals think they could ever promote sympathy through such methods is beyond rational thought.

TAC goes from being isolationist to Palestinist.
The Dhimmitude continues.

But the Israeli–Palestinian impasse is a special one for Americans, in part because of Jerusalem, holy to Christians, Muslims, and Jews, and in part because of the role the conflict plays in generating Muslim hostility to America and the West, but mostly because it is a wrong that the United States has done so much to create and perpetuate, a wrong that the United States has the power to set to right—not by bombing anyone but simply through the normal tools of aid and diplomacy.

Odd that McConnell never bothers to identify the "wrongs" that the U.S. has committed in Palestine. But, in his mind, they could be solved so simply -- by, I would imagine, a President Buchanan.

MCEP probably IS dependent on Syrian (or Wahabbist) funding.

Scott McConnell let Robert Locke go as a writer over Israel.

It is entirely clear to anyone paying attention that McConnell, who has long held the ahistorical and theologically silly belief that Jesus was a Palestinian, has joined with Buchanan and Taki is an effort to define conservative foreign policy as Dhimmitude.
Quislings.
