Whether Simcox and the Minutemen are guilty of fraudelent practices does not mean that the NEED for BORDER SECURITY should stop.

A con-artist grifting volunteers who are good decent citizens, and good decent citizens concerned about border security are two entirely different things.

The minutemen concept was born out of need to secure the borders and is obviously being investigated as to whether money donated is being used properly probably by the OPEN BORDER HYSTERICS!!

I don't think anyone here has a problem with the minutemen concept. I know I certainly don't. But when it takes a team of people 2 months to build a 2.2 mile long barbed wire fence that would take one person 2 days to put up, I think there is something inheritantly wrong with this picture.

I've bought a large amount of steel posts for fencing in cattle pastures, and most if not all places will throw in the wire clips and roll of barbed wire for the entire flat price of the entire purchase of the posts.

In short, the Minutemen are getting ripped off by a shyster named Simcox.

The Minutemen intended to build Israeli-style fence on that particular ranch, but after intense public pressure from the liberals, the landowners changed their minds and only wanted barbed wire.

It's their land, they can have whatever kind of fence they want, short of the federal government coming in and doing their job properly on that portion of the border.

Simcox could have said forget about it and saved the money for more elaborate fencing on other property. But he didn't. He helped them build the fence they wanted.
