ROTFLMAO
Careful what you wish for!
Ping!
Well, this is confusing; are they saying that the "partner benefits" that so many states and companies now extend to their employees isn't legit?
Great retort. So true.
Yes, unless they "sanctify their unions". No more Mr. Nice Guy.
"But hold on a second! We wanted the benefits, but we never wanted to have to stay together! We love to hit the clubs every night! This is not fair!"
Thanks for the ping.
You know, I just got off the phone with a gay friend of mine. The guy was in tears are losing the love of his life. At the time, the both of them were cheating on each other with numerous partners. They went on again and off again, all the while cheating. Then finally the break up, the other guy fell head over heels for another guy, but then he cheated on him after a few weeks. So now there's hope(?).
So now my friend wants to get back with this guy and said that he'd have to be comfortable with the other guy receiving nude, full-body massages from other gay men beause "he could detatch himself." What?
It's not like this has never dawned on me before, but it was just too obvious how inherently screwed up gay relationships are in the first place. There is no end point, no destination. No white picket fence and 2.5 kids. It's just sex and companionship: not the sturdy stock of family-building. Just semi-commitment in a sea of promiscuity--and that's the norm--one I don't really see changing.
/when the world decides to deal in craziness, things get crazier....like in insane
Got THAT right! ;-D
Alittle too much detail for me.
But, in the end, exaclty how many gays have gotten married in Mass? Not too many. I think it's less than 10k. If their was alot wanting to get married they would have done it already.
Well, could this have reprecussions in other states?
I went to a relative's house for the Fourth of July. As I approached the driveway, I noticed a pickup with a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker and window decals that showed membership in righty political organizations. I asked my relative "Who's the dude with the pickup?" She (my relative) said "Oh, that is a neighbor down the street. SHE has a very liberal girlfriend." :-)
Maybe too much detail, but believe me, I was sparing details.
The sheer impossibility of that sort of relationship in a standard male-female partnership is what floored me. I knew this stuff happened, but to try to respond to it with sympathy was next to impossible. How was I going to do that when any girl who behaved this way with me would never again hear from me...ever!
One act of betrayal is enough to destroy most male-female couples. The lines are very clearly set and understood. Not so in gay relationships.
They were warned about this repeatedly. The media ignored the warnings. These aren't unexpected consequences, albeit unintended.
The gay activists are not acting in the interest of the gay community. The activists are pursuing an anti-Christian agenda, under the guise of gay rights.
But, as we see here, the thing a lot of homosexuals overlooked is the coupling of the privileges they sought, as if they were "rights", with responsibilities.
Which is why "marriage" or legal unions for homosexuals are not a blessing. Homosexual relationships are typically more turbulent, and less likely to last than heterosexual relationships. Given unions of any kind under the law, they must now deal with the responsibilities such unions entail - including care and costs for their partners after partnerships are dissolved.
AHEM! AHEM! < /howiesoundfx >
This will skyrocket health insurance costs for companies and - well, the whole medical field - and we will all see our insurances go up, as well as all other medical costs.
States rights. So only to the extent that other states want to be influenced I would think.
The David Scondras clearing of throat. LOL!
