BETINA, Croatia -- Iran has asked the International Atomic Energy Agency to remove the head of the inspection team probing Tehran's nuclear program, U.N. officials said Sunday.
The inspector, Chris Charlier, has not been back to Iran since April because of Iranian displeasure with his work, the officials said.
However, Charlier remains the head of the team, they said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the issue was confidential.
The German newspaper Welt am Sonntag reported Sunday that Charlier had been removed from his post and assigned to other duties. It quoted him as saying he believes Iran is operating a clandestine nuclear program and suggested it was linked to weapons.

I just posted the German article here
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1662728/posts
It also has a link to a good translation. Apparently, the IAEA tried to prevent the publication of the article.
This article isn't nearly damning enough of elBaradei as the one here......

That's the one Brian Moseley posted ... see #6 above for the FR link.
That's the same article I posted a link to above, but there's a link to a better translation of the article contained in my comments. This AP piece doesn't even touch on the heart of the matter.
Yep... This is just another example of how the Iranian theocratic dictatorship pressures international institutions to behave like they do. They pressure foreign journalists in a similar way. Its sad that this behavior is tolerated.
Good article and good additional material
Apparently Iran's bullying tactics are considered classified by the IAEA? Although it's news worthy, this latest act represents the same sort of capitulation that's been going on for years.
What did you expect?
President Bush and Secretary Rice are not naive, but anyone else see the obvious, and wonder whether we aren't in fact being played like a violin?
Both North Korea and Iran are in some ways puppets of the other two true superpowers - let's be honest and realistic here, we're not omnipotent. They're tag teaming; coordinating their outrageous actions and statements (this poster believes, the timing is being coordinated with China and Russia) to manipulate the world dialogue.
And we seem to be falling for it.
At least we're not caving - which Democrats would be doing. But it sometimes appears we're being completely outmaneuvered.
"This AP piece doesn't even touch on the heart of the matter."
No, it certainly doesn't.
