I think European countries need a Peace Corp like program that would send Muslim youths to Arab countries to do projects to improve the enviornment. Let them plant trees in those god forsaken places for two years and then decide where their loyalties lie. Morocco still has 40% unemployment, so there is no where for those kids who don't like Sweden to go. Get economic development going in Moracco and the problem is solved. Maybe this is a result of European mercantilism which took raw materials (here people) but alwaqys had to have a positive balance of trade. Hence, it raped its trading partners and colonies.

I think this is all a logical byproduct of wrong-headed population control programs. First they convinced all of us in the West to limit our families. Swedes themselves have said that they let so many poor Muslims in in the misguided hope that they would take up the traditional farming lifestyles being left behind by native Swedes, who were flocking to cities to become urban professionals. I don't think it ever occurred to them that young Muslim males would reject that concept, and choose to instead live unemployed, government funded existences in the slums of Malmo and other cities. It was more a policy driven by naive stupidity than cultural self-loathing.

Silly as it sounds, we've done something similar in America - importing Mexicans to do the agricultural work young citizens turn up their noses at. It's just that Mexican immigrants so far have far less interest in reconquista than Muslim immigrants do in jihad.

Been in Sweden now for 14 years, the political system is controlled the social democrats who run the country much like the General Organization of some high school. Very "hip" on things like the environment, they shut down a nuclear plant in the south of Sweden only to end up importing huge amounts of energy generated in Poland with dirty coal. Imagine how that same group views "multi-culturalism." Could the result be anything other than the massive ghettos north and south of Stockholm with unemployment rates in the 80's? Although I do have to add that elitist snobbery of your average swede nearly guarantees this to only continue. "Let them eat kebab" is a perfect insight.

I think it is that most Mexican youths actually find work in the U.S., and then they go about trying to build a decent life for their family. They come to the United States and they see a country that is not governed in the corrupt manner that Mexico is, and they do not see a need for a reconquista, or they lose the desire for such. So they assimilate as best they can, and given the illegal status of so many the assimilation can never be complete.

Based on personal experiences, I would rather have a motivated, non-English speaking employee whom I will have to spend six-months training than many of the graduates of our public school systems who have no motivation, no skills and reject the training needed to become productive.
