Second the attitude which is the heart of this article is not new in Islam; only the slow (contemporary) perception of it is. That it has been there for 1400 years, unaltered, is plain for anyone who wishes to do so to see.
Almost identical statements can be found by educated and presumably rational muslims from the eighth century, the eleventh, the fifteenth, the eighteenth and today. Who are you going to believe? them or your lying eyes?
I think European countries need a Peace Corp like program that would send Muslim youths to Arab countries to do projects to improve the enviornment. Let them plant trees in those god forsaken places for two years and then decide where their loyalties lie. Morocco still has 40% unemployment, so there is no where for those kids who don't like Sweden to go. Get economic development going in Moracco and the problem is solved. Maybe this is a result of European mercantilism which took raw materials (here people) but alwaqys had to have a positive balance of trade. Hence, it raped its trading partners and colonies.
