And no, it didn't 'just happen', not there nor in my native Canada. This was a deliberate policy by social engineers to rapidly increase the degree of immigration of Arabs and Muslims, I strongly suspect at least partially prompted by antisemitism.

That would be a twisted, but somewhat rational explanation, and I don't share it.
I believe more along the lines of post #5 above, which I think nails it.

I agree that not all muslims are ignorant savages and potential killers; just the overwhelming majority of the lowest stratum of imported muslims: that is to say most of the ones the West has experienced post WW2.
Why any country would not only allow, but encourage parasites and killers to enter their country wholesale can only be explained by the theory posited in post #5.

I think this is all a logical byproduct of wrong-headed population control programs. First they convinced all of us in the West to limit our families. Then they say we have to accept the prolific breeders to man our economies, because they weren't able to teawch them to limit population. Frankly, I would have prefered having a couple more American children myself to dealing with foreign speakers all of the time.

Swedes themselves have said that they let so many poor Muslims in in the misguided hope that they would take up the traditional farming lifestyles being left behind by native Swedes, who were flocking to cities to become urban professionals. I don't think it ever occurred to them that young Muslim males would reject that concept, and choose to instead live unemployed, government funded existences in the slums of Malmo and other cities. It was more a policy driven by naive stupidity than cultural self-loathing.

Silly as it sounds, we've done something similar in America - importing Mexicans to do the agricultural work young citizens turn up their noses at. It's just that Mexican immigrants so far have far less interest in reconquista than Muslim immigrants do in jihad.
