The way I read it once was Dick and June had been trying for years to convince Reagan. One day, he said, all right you've convinced me. Dick to turned to June and said now the SOB will probably wind up being President of the United States. RIP, June, Dick, and Ronnie.

Interesting. As I remember the story, the Reagans and the Powells were at dinner. Dick took Ron into his study where they talked privately. Ron emerged a conservative, but what Dick had said to him was secret. Nice story. Anybody know if it's true?
