Check out some pictures from the protest of the New York Times. Video will be added soon. Caucus for America, Protest Warrior, Free Republic, Congress for Racial Equality, were in attendance.
Hannity showed some film of it. I kind of had a feeling there were some FReepers there.
AWESOME!! Great job, FReepers ... proud of you for giving them the hell they deserve and I hope they get. They have shown their true stripes.
In that picture of sheehan and code pink, that old man wearing black to her left, is that the same man that was giving her a foot massage in Crawford last year during support Bush and the troops rally? It sure looks like him. If it is, I wonder if they're an item.
Pleased to meet you, miss!
"craziness" for denouncing a move that undermines America's - and the world's - war on terror.
Keep talking, you wimps. All the way to November 2006 elections.
I watched that too. :)
I believe that guy is this left-wing preist, forget the name. Age of Hooper has some video of him, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks; now I know the perfect match for me is already married off. Imagine the poor fool who dares to cut in on Michelle at the grocery line. Hah HAW! Nails be sharp.
Thank you. It sure does look like the same man...spooky.
Thanks for the link.
Saw a bit of it on Hannity and butthead. How many FREEPERS were there and who was in the OBL beard and turban?
Likewise, kind sir.
Otherwise, great pics!
FGS
Great pictures.
No matter what the left says, this has got to hurt.
They know the NY Slimes went too far, and they don't know what to do about it now.
wow do we have any bigger pictures
It was great to finally have some Freeper action in NYC! I know no one thinks of it as a hotbed of Conservatism, but there were ~200 people on our side of the street while only a few professional leftists showed up to support the Times. The rabbi (never got his name) who spoke was fantastic, as was Debra Burlingame.
I was there and have 20 or so phone-cam pics that I would be happy to post. Anyone who can host pics, please Freepmail me and I will send them over to you.
The Anne Frank in in the attic poster cuts deep!!!

More from New York Post...........

July 11, 2006 -- Dozens of protesters yesterday denounced The New York Times for disclosing details of anti-terror efforts by the Bush administration.
"Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can aid the enemy in a time of war," said Rabbi Aryeh Spero, one of the demonstration's organizers.
Organizer Beth Gilinsky told the crowd of protesters, who waved American flags outside the Times' West 43rd Street office, "Listen, you old gray lady," she said, using the Times' nickname. "You might as well drop dead and die."
The protesters criticized the paper for reporting about U.S. programs to trace terrorists' bank transfers and to monitor their phone calls from abroad.
"Twice The New York Times has published national-security secrets and hurt America in the war on terror," Spero, president of the Caucus for America, said.
Pam at Atlas Shrugs has more great pictures.

Excellent Mia... outstanding.

thanx :)
Now that's an inspired sign. Hope it left a big welt.
The protest was scheduled for 5 until 8 pm. Some of that video on Hannity must have been taken around 5 or before, because the crowd was sparce. Shortly after that, the crowd grew and became so deep on our side that the people trying to use the sidewalk had to walk single file and could barely get through. And our place to stand was sectioned off on the street! As passersby came, some joined us. Many stayed for the three hours. For the article to say that dozens protested....there was at least a dozen of us FReepers! (Names and pictures will be posted eventually. We got home pretty late after having a brew later on!)
"Osama," came walking towards our crowd. I have no idea who he was, but when I saw him, I laughed and told him to go up front so the other side (NYTimes) could see him. He told me he didn't speak good English....he was a middle eastern man, apparently with a great sense of humor. In fact, I have his email address to send him the pictures I took of him.
When the spokesman at the time, a rabbi, saw him, he had him join him on the "stage," the back of a pick up truck. "Osama," played the part and gestured that he loved the NY Times. It was a hoot!
The protest was an excellent one! The speakers were great!
In all, it was a real success....I was proud and glad to be a part of it!
Great pics
I took A LOT of pictures with my digital camera. I have no idea how to post them. If I could send them to you, would you do it? If you can't....anyone?
I'm going out for the day, but please FReepmail me. Thanks!
Was it just online or did something run in the paper too?
Post #25 is my posting, actual article from New York Post.
Go there for a link to the article.
I understand. I'm hoping it ran in their hard copies and not just their online version of the paper.
It's in the print edition, page 28.
Slight correction: Free Republic wasn't just "in attendance," although there were about 20 freepers there: we were one of the two sponsors, the other being Caucus for America.
We have been demonstrating in New York City since 2000. Started with Hillary. The pace picked up with three big demonstrations over the disputed election results later that year, and we have done many, many other, smaller ones.
The mother of all was March 2003, a few days after the start of the war, where we went on and on for blocks, down Broadway. Recently, three NYC Secure Our Borders rallies, organized by NYICE, were on the forum.
I'll put you on the Chapter-plus-others ping list if you like, so you won't miss any more.
It was great to meet you too! Yes, please do put me on the ping list.
I was there as well. I posted my phone-cam pics using Image Shack. They append a little logo to the bottom, but its free.

Great! Thanks.
Oops.
Great job, everyone, fantastic reports and pictures. This is an historic FReep that will live in cyberspace a long time. Fightingtheleft.com did a great job with the photos, the ones of the Times employees looking out the windows are priceless.
Anyone who wants to get their pictures posted, you can send them to fightingtheleft.com. There are instructions for sending large files on the "About Us" page.
I've been hearing alot that the picture files are too big...I will work on that. I want high-quality pics, but I understand the frustration with load time. Glad you liked the pics...and let me know of other events coming up! Send to events@fightingtheleft.com
Oh, yeah, and the video is up now!
