I send them all back saying no money until the borders are controled. Dues or donations.
Sinkspur didn't say "amnesty," numbnuts...he said GUEST-WORKER. Tancredo indeed supported a guest-worker plan. Where was your griping then?
THE PENCE PLAN | THE TANCREDO PLAN |
---|---|
Secure Our Border | Secure Our Nation's Borders |
Put in place a guest worker program, without amnesty... | Establish a Genuine Guest Worker Program |
...deny amnesty to people whose first act in the United States was a violation of the law. | Remove Incentives for Illegal Immigration |
Enforce tough employer sanctions... | Improve Interior Enforcement of Immigration Laws |
It is discouraging that Human Events is posting something by a person who is stupid enough to, at one and the same time, slam the GOP for not being conservative and say he's willing to vote for the Rats (except for the fact that they have screwed up). This is one confused hombre, and the last thing we need is more confusion.
It's getting out of hand, isn't it? I long for the good-old days when we were united against the Dems.
I long for the good-old-days when a GOP president did not ally with Dems to thwart conservatives in his own party.
Fair enough, but this isn't about Bush. It's about the Republican party. Lots of Republicans in office are crap, but almost all are better than almost all Rats. We must keep the Rats out at all costs. Our feelings about Bush should be put aside until we've won this election. Let's keep our eyes on the ball.
The problem is, Bush is pressuring the House GOP to cave in their stance against the Senate shamnesty bill (and that bill is a complete abomination). And if the House members cave, it could very well hurt a lot of their chances for re-election.
So as long as Bush keeps this up, I'm going to criticize him - for exactly the reason you have stated - the electoral health of the GOP.
It's fine to criticize Bush. God knows I do it all the time. What I mean is, let's not allow our justified anger at him to overshadow the importance of re-electing the Republican majority.
I've said all along that we need to throw our support behind the GOP House members come November. I'm a bit more ambivalent about the criticality of retaining a couple of the pubbie Senators, but I think having a couple of RINOs go down in flames wouldn't be a bad thing as long as the GOP maintains some kind of majority.
I would love to see Chafee lose, since he would vote with the Rats in the event that his vote made the difference re: Senate majority.
Glad you're on board for the election. Some FReepers clearly aren't, and that's disgusting.
Uhhhh...
