US: Israel Must Do Whatever Necessary to Protect Itself
Arutz Sheva - IsraelNationalnews ^ | 7/12/6

Posted on 07/12/2006 8:15:33 AM PDT by SmithL

The Bush administration said Wednesday afternoon that “Israel must do whatever necessary to protect itself.”

The terse response came in the wake of an IDF incursion into south Lebanon following multiple attacks by Hizbullah terrorists on northern Israeli communities and soldiers. Two soldiers were kidnapped and three were killed in the early morning attacks.

Somebody in the State Department apparently has gotten the message - FINALLY.

Sounds like the simmering in the Middle East is quickly approaching the boiling point.

Withdrawl is a sign of weakness in the eyes of the islamo-fascist.

The Bush administration said Wednesday afternoon that “Israel must do whatever necessary to protect itself.”

It's about g*dd**m time!!!

Let's hope the striped-pants crowd at Foggy Bottom has got the message, too, and avoids use of the words 'restraint' and 'Israel' in the same sentence when speaking to the press.

Israel needs to continue the push forward. They have a history of exchanging captives for prisoners at a rate of 1:200. The need to crack down on Hezbollah big time, but expect something from Syria as well if this escalates further; however, Syria and Iran know that they are on thin ice with the U.S., so this could deter active involvement.

As to the claim by the Hizbullah that is will strengthen negotiation in Gaza, they made a serious mistake in judgment.

They either "got the message" or they got the BOOT. Knowing "State", I'd hope it was the latter -- to the crotch. Yeesh, if there were ever a department that was in need of some bowl cleaner...

John Thune this morning said that he hopes that there will be "restraint". Dumb statement...

Israel's IDF chief threatened to bomb Lebanon back 20 years...while they're about it, they might want to do the same thing in Syria and Iran. Their fingerprints are all over this...
