LONDON Iranian military representatives attended North Korea's Taepodong-2 missile launch, according to Japanese news reports.
At least 10 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attended the Taepodong-2 intermediate missile launch. Japan's Sankei Shimbun and South Korea's official Yonhap news agency reported the IRGC personnel were senior engineers who sought to learn from Pyongyang's missile program. Yonhap reported on July 1 that the IRGC engineers participated in the preparation for the Taepodong launch, Middle East Newsline reported. The news agency said the IRGC has been examining Chinese-origin missile technology for Iranian procurement.
South Korean sources said Iran and North Korea could be planning a project for the joint development of new liquid missile propellant. Yonhap quoted the sources as saying that the propellant could be used for both Iranian and North Korean missiles.
Teheran and Pyongyang were said to be major partners in missile and nuclear weapons development. Western intelligence sources said Iran has been financing North Korea's intermediate-range ballistic missile program.
In December 2005, a North Korean ship docked in Bandar Abbas and was said to have unloaded about a dozen intermediate-range missiles. The missiles were identified as a variant of the Russian-origin SS-N-4, which could be fitted with a nuclear warhead.
No, I think I read this online somewhere about a week ago. I may have even watched a show on television that mentioned the connection.
North Korea and Iran...part of the axis of evil.
Ping. Not that you would be surprised.
Good. I hope the Iranian's had to pay for the failure, the more the merrier.
What surprises me is that these liquid propellant shipments & missile parts are not regularly interdicted...
Where are the dems that chided Bush about naming the Axis of Evil now? Where are the anti-SDI weenies now?
TigerLikesRooster posted the following almost a couple of weeks ago.
10 Iranian Missile Engineers Visited N. Korea:Sankei reports(check on NK's Chinese equipments)
And Iran no doubt took a few missles home with them, maybe even a couple to sell to Syria.
This news will have a much bigger impact in Europe and Israel. We'll see if the leftist EU media cares ponder why Iranians, who are only interested in civilian nuclear uses, would want to witness PRK missile launches?
I was going to say just that. Shows the man (Pres. Bush) knew a thing or two...
And during Pres. Reagan's term(s), I bought into the SDI program from the get-go, another man that knew what he was doing.
Remember all the nay-sayers to the Abrams tank? The B-1 bomber? How 'bout the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and so many other great projects. Remember where Kerry was on those issues?
Yep, I saw it.
Why don't we have "Special Forces" that assassinate these people after approval of Congress etc and eliminate the future slaughter of Americans (About 10% of the casualties will be illegal aliens, so it won't be quite as bad as it could be.)
Wrong thread. This one is about North Korea and Iran and missile tests.
They are consulting with their Oracles. Seeking Wisdom from Ho Chi Minhs Ghost. And they are paying Gorbachev cash to tell them lies that make them feel better about themselves.
right... and no doubt.. they will be no more effetive than a fart in a skillet...............
wasnt there an unfortunate ( cough, ahem) train accident in North Korea that whacked a bunch of middle eastern missile experts a couple years ago? Any chance lightning can strike twice?
We would start a huge upheaval if we hired mercenaries to kill leaders.
