ERUSALEM The next Middle East war Israel against genocidal Islamism has begun. The first stage of the war started two weeks ago, with the Israeli incursion into Gaza in response to the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier and the ongoing shelling of Israeli towns and kibbutzim; now, with Hezbollah's latest attack, the war has spread to southern Lebanon. Ultimately, though, Israel's antagonists won't be Hamas and Hezbollah but their patrons, Iran and Syria. The war will go on for months, perhaps several years. There may be lulls in the fighting, perhaps even temporary agreements and prisoner exchanges. But those periods of calm will be mere respites.
The goals of the war should be the destruction of the Hamas regime and the dismantling of the Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Israel cannot coexist with Iranian proxies pressing in on its borders. In particular, allowing Hamas to remain in power and to run the Palestinian educational system will mean the end of hopes for Arab-Israeli reconciliation not only in this generation but in the next one too.

The "palestinian" people voted for hamas and fully support it. The goal has to be the removal of the palis to some place very far from Israel. The two groups cannot live next to eachother.
Let's not forget about the civilian who was kidnapped and murdered by the scum as well. I hope Israel levels Gaza and Lebanon. The real players in this whole thing though are Iran and Syria. I thought after 9/11 it was you're either with us or against us. By God, its time to bring this to a head. I totally support the WOT but I really want to see a WAR ON TERROR!!! I don't really care about their hearts and minds, I want to see all the terrorist scum begging for mercy, then we can talk about hearts and minds.
The israelis should loudly proclaim the "genocial muslims" at every opportunity, and go into history for all the genocides that islam has perfomed (armenians plus others)
Please add me to your ping list, thank you.
Another reason is the nature of the crimes committed by the prisoners whose release is being demanded by Hezbollah and Hamas. One of them is Samir Kuntar, a PLO terrorist who in 1979 broke into an apartment in the northern Israeli town of Nahariya, took a father and child hostage, and smashed the child's head against a rock. In the Palestinian Authority, Kuntar is considered a hero, a role model for Palestinian children.
Even Nazis did not advertise the gruesome nature of their atrocities, kind of glassing over what their "heroes" did. But poor schmucks the Palestinians are so thoroughly brainwashed, that they glorified their martyrs with all the gore details. How any "enlightened" liberal can find excuses to support them is beyond me. Same as Michael Berg being "sorry for the loss of another human being" - Zarqawi - who made a show of beheading of his son Nicholas. It make me shudder just to think that people like that may prevail...
I believe the Leb front tried that already! They attacked, kidnapped, and sued for peace 1 2 3!
Let em beg, feed em lead! Send em all to hellallah!
You'd have to move the ones in Jordan, too.
The problem is much bigger than the Palestinians. The real problem is Islamic imperialism and intolerance, which has cost millions of people--not just Jews, but Hindus, Bahais, Zoroastrians, Christians, Buddhists, and animists--their lives or their freedom.
I know that BOOK also and know how the end comes out.
The sons of Lot and the sons of Abraham will be at one another's throats until Judgement day.
The election of Hamas was the begining of the end of the palestine people. As another article has said, the palestine people has lost, Isreal has won.
We're getting live information. The electrical poser station in Tripoli has just been hit. The small airport in Tripoli has also been hit.
Double-Dog Dittos! Well said!
Makes ya wanna keep your eternity insurance up to date! ;)

Israel is close to full mobilization. This will be no glorified skirmish. I see them in Damascus before this is over -- and the Iran nuclear program a vague memory.
Is that your buddy who likes my belches? I hope everything's okay!
