1. I beg to differ. Choke points, transportation lanes, etc all would be required to get there. Well-placed defenses can make very large piles of bodies, particularly when they are Muslims, who are famous for their stark inability to improvise in the field.
2. As a result, I'd love to see them try.
3. Any time they looked like they were having trouble, we've got more than a few assets in the area.
4. If nukes are involved, they might have some small chance to achieve their FInal Solution, but Israel would empty their own arsenals, again leading to amazing kill ratios.
BTW, when I saw today's cartoon, something crystallized for me.
