Frankly, I have been hearing that we are in the end times my entire life. If I'm not mistaken, the Bible says nobody knows when the end will occur. Perhaps you should lighten up a bit.
Exactly. This will no more lead to the "end times" than WWI, WWII, etc did.
I've heard this "prediction" many, many times over the last 40 years and guess what ... hasn't happened yet.

That leaves plenty of room for perhaps discerning by the press of events that it is fast approaching. Of course, we have many cautionary tales of people who thought they knew and didn't. Still, those who are carefully observing and correctly interpreting events might realize "this is the year," then "this is the month," then "it's sometime in the next week."
