TAMPA - It may have been the least likely place for a man who doesn't believe in God to receive a standing ovation, but it happened Sunday morning when Joe Redner went to church.
Bishop Randy White, senior pastor at Without Walls International Church, invited the strip club owner to join him in the pulpit and talk about his campaign for the Hillsborough County Commission District 5 seat.
"All right, he's not running for pastor. My job's not up," White jokingly told parishioners while introducing Redner, as their continued applause prompted Redner to stand and nod his head in thanks.

Yes it is - you just don't know it yet
Interesting that a strip club owner would be welcomed to church by a pastor named "Randy."
Bet he's a Democrat.
Unless this guy was giving his life to Christ, I'm not sure how this can be justified.
It is easier to justify the owner of a sex toy store. At least there, there's no lusting and items can be had for legitimate use with spouses.
I'm bettin with you!
It's the Clinton-like "reasoning" that gives it away, imo.
Red Flag Cit-tay!
Did Jefferson write anything about the separation of church and ta-tas?
How do you know, Bishop? Isn't that what Hillary said about Bill, too? Seriously, this pastor sounds like he's not all there.
Lying is not the only sin in the Bible.
It should be:
Without Boundaries International Church
You're right ... but it's funny how many people seem to take the position that being an open, unrepentant sinner is a manifestation of righteousness.
What kind of church?
I think this sounds like a fringe church and the MSM has marching orders to make christian churchas look less christian.
Perhaps they have a Hedonism Christian retreat planed.
It really galls me when words like;
church ... pastor ... pulpit ... parishioners ..
are used to describe a Satanic activity.
___________
I don't like politicians much, either, but they're not necessarily satanic.
Amen
Touche'
You know they do! After all,"How can you preach against sin unless you know something about it?"
*LOL*!

Good grief... There are so many sad and dumb statements in that article (from "Bishop" White and his church members) that I hardly know where to begin.
More proof that TBN and the celebrity "preachers" on it are an insult to Christianity. I cringe anytime I click past it on TV. The tacky golden furniture on their set should be everyone's first sign something is seriously wrong... :)

This coming from a not so holy roller.
You know all those churches you see on the TBN type networks, where psyching up is the name of the game?
It's got a lot of people, and I am sure there are some true Christians in it, but when I saw Paula White shaking her leg out in front of the pulpit, pointing at it and screaming, "That's the Holy Spirit!" - words fail me.
False prophets ?
""Joe Redner is not a practicing politician. I like that about him," :
He might be a drug dealer tho. Many strippers use drugs.
"He's a man of integrity. He's never lied to me."
What about a meth dealer who tells you the truth?
What kind of church?
It was also televised. Sounds to me like the Church of the Almighty Dollar.
The Church of What's Happenin' Now.
Sounds like they are "health and wealth" type preachers..am I correct?
Wow. Lots of really "tolerant" Christians here, aren't there?
Sounds Unitarian to me. No wonder they'd allow a strip club owner to speak there.
Paula White pastored Michael Jackson and Daryl Strawberry.
Went to church for all the thong reasons.
Show me where in the bible it says Christians are to tolerate sin?
I won't hold my breath, because it's not there.
Tolerance becomes crime when applied to evil. Thomas Mann
May I add "becomes a sin and crime" when applied to evil.
You have a problem with that?
Bishop White is actually a bastor, busy perverting the purpose and function of a Christian church.
Revoke the church's tax exempt status.
Remembering a verse in the bible isn't very helpful.
We aren't condemning the man to death, or seeking to punish him.
But christians are to discern good from evil, to espouse the good and reject the evil, to flee temptation. We aren't saying the state should force TBN off the air, we are just saying their message is not christianity, their approach is evil, and calling them a "christian church" is an affront to real christians everywhere.
We "tolerate" them just fine, because we don't seek to destroy them. We don't "accept" them or their message, which is an entirely DIFFERENT thing than "tolerating", which as South Park so correctly described, means to "put up with something you find reprehensible".
Well, isn't that better than a self-righteous, judgmental hypocrite? (ahem)
I NEVER beat a Bible. Not self-righteous either. Belligerent....ok, sometimes.
You know, they say that we hate worse in others what we dislike about ourselves....hmmmm, you might need to consider that one.
Hmmm
(sarcasm on)
Make sure YOUR strip club has the seal of TBN on the outside. If you stippers are not working for a TBN 'god' approved club then you are working for the devil's strip club.
Make sure you vice is blessed vice.
(sarcasm off)
Appologies to Robert Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land.
Yep, "health and wealth" describes them very well. TBN appears to be a motley collection of false prophets and scam artists.
Sadly, there are lots of people in this country who's entire perception of Christians is based on what they've seen via Jim & Tammy Faye and TBN, etc. If they have no sincere Christians that they can talk to, I can understand how many think we're all nuts.
Fletcher J
Bingo. Absolutely they're false prophets.
The Bible has a very high standard in this regard. If a person makes ONE incorrect prophecy, then that person is a false prophet.
I don't have time to research it now, but I've seen whole lists of predictions that these TBN "preachers" have made that haven't come to pass.
Fletcher J
Many, and I mean many people in my office hate Christians based on what they see on TV, movies and of course in the news. It's really quite a shame!
"Many, and I mean many people in my office hate Christians based on what they see on TV, movies and of course in the news. It's really quite a shame!"
Do they hate Muslims as well or are you just taking a swipe at Christians ? I'm more of an Agnostic, but it gets a little ponderous that it's only Christians that get bashed .
There are definately some scammers out there in the Christian community, but I haven't seen any of these preachers advocating violence . Now Islam is a different story, so i'm curious of what the people in your office think of Muzzies ?
Wow, that's deep. So it's all my fault, right? hmmmm.
You must be a second greater too.
:D
A second greater than what?? ;>)
