He's not stupid...but remember where a vast majority of the nations doctors (he's an M.D.) stand on guns....very much against.

I might believe that about pediatricians, mainly because they are mostly women, but do you have any links supporting that claim for the rest?

What? John F'n Kerry (who served in Vietnam) NOT voting with the rest of his party clowns? THAT should be the news of the day...

Here you go: There's a LOT more IF you look! Or here for a comprehensive list. Look for the AMA and others. MORE

He's probably maneuvering for the nomination.

But regardless, this is positive.

It looks like the RINOs in the Senate are getting the message, but we have to be persistent.

What do those references about activist organizations, medical and non-medical, with a public health agenda have to do with the views of physicians as a whole and the Second Amendment? I was hoping for links to polls of physicians. The last time I heard anything about it, the American Medical Association represents a minority of American physicians.

With all due respect, the charters of the International A.N.S.W.E.R., CPUSA, Democratic Socialists of America, ACLU, (BTW, one of your references), etc., tell me little about American public opinion. Have you heard about Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership?

From your link: DRGO has become a nationwide network of more than 1,400 physicians, allied health professionals, and others who support the safe and lawful use of firearms.

Pardon me, but there are more Docs in just the south Florida area than this group has in it's entire nationwide membership! Just why did this organization feel it was necessary in the first place? Isn't the AMA the parent "professional organization" for all doctors nationwide? It is certainly FAR older than DRGO. I am aware of no other journal in which doctors desperately wish to be published for professional recognition.

To give a voice to docs that believe in the Constitution.

That's definitely not for Doctors of Osteopathy. They have the AOA. If the AMA didn't have JAMA, I don't think anyone would know about it. The number of subscribers have been dropping the last time I heard. They send me a free copy. Do you believe the NEA is representative of all teachers? I would appreciate a poll of the rank and file, not the politically correct, organized, activist types.
