Vladimir Putin is probably not a friend of the the United States, but he is not an atheist. He is a member of the Russian Orthodox Church, and this fact is well known. So the story is wrong on at least that Point.
Since I am sure that President Bush is aware of this fact, it casts the entire story in doubt.

Therefore, no Christian is lying about another Christian, and there is nothing to be concerned about.
Those of us who have closely observed the President and his relationship with Putin from the beginning, have read and heard much about their shared experiences and how the President has told about Putin's being influenced by his Russian Orthodox faith.
Methinks that you are looking for trouble here where none is to be found.
