look at this, go to the link to see the chart... looks like pretty steep cuts for X2 processors :).. enjoy.
wow time to upgrade my 2400+ i think
One thing AMD has done well recently is stay ahead of Intel in product development, allowing them the ability to battle Intel at the register.
should be nice $149 Athlon X2 3800's in 7 days... :)
/starts the intel/amd war

Yeah, just after I upgraded back a couple of months -- Murphy's Law strikes again --- oh, well I can always take the next step at these prices!!!
Lookin' real good !!!! :-)
It doesn't have a superior product anymore... Intel is the new King... where have you been? Its called Conroe(Core2Duo)
thats usually what happens to me! but this time i got lucky and caught it just right... im still running a A64 3500+ that i've had for over a year.
"I think I'm gonna switch from building my own PC's and buy a Mac G5 dual core desktop...plus that sweet 23 inch Monitor..."
What do you all think?
That really depends on which market segment you look at. Intel does have a faster home/office/single socket cpu but AMD still has better products in the multi-socket range.
I don't see Cray switching to Intel anytime soon.
How much does that 23 inch monitor cost? And what is the max resolution on it?
I dont care
Time for one of these...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16856101004
$1,299.00
1920 x 1200 optimal resolution
16.7 million colors
DVI Display Connector
2 port USB 2.0 Hub
2 FireWire 400 ports
VESA mount compatible
I dunno, but the 24" 1920x1200 flat panel I have cost ~$800 a little while back.
Because superiority is about price and performance.
