BEIRUT — Thousands of Americans whose vacations and business trips to Lebanon have degenerated with sickening speed into stints in a battle zone remained stranded here under Israeli bombardment Monday, their frustration and anger mounting because the U.S. government hasn't gotten them out faster.
Waiting around Beirut with bags packed and fingers crossed, U.S. citizens derided the embassy for busy phone lines, a lack of information and gnawing uncertainty over when and whether they will get out. Hundreds were expected to be shipped to Cyprus today, but how long the full evacuation will take remains uncertain.

He still sounds like an ungrateful arrogant whiner that if he were working with the UN, he would have been housed by them. If he were UN, he would have been evac'd by the UN, not every man for him/herself.

i will continue bashing someone that is in the wrong and is a whiner. It does not matter if they are a "freeper" or a "DUmber". They were in the wrong and probably not even over there. Be advised, his "pics" were most likely being found on the net and in limited numbers. Anyone can say or be anyone on here..remember that. some are great at telling great tales..who was that..Snowbunny about five six years ago that was outed and was great at telling tales?

Many in my family are military . I have nothing but the utmost respect for military .
I read were rebel stated he was behind Israel 100% . I Also read were he wants Iran & Syria cut off at the head .

I was disgusted by some freepers who seem to want rebel to die in Lebanon . That was mean , & uncalled for !
I Also was disgusted by all the comments saying if rebel is on a vacation in Lebanon rebel deserves what he gets !
So yes the vacation comment was mean-spirted IMO .

I have a right to my opinion, and in my opinion he does not have the right mindset to handle working out of the country; it's not for everyone. That is only my opinion, it's not like he needs to listen or let it effect him in any way- he is free to do as he pleases.
In an effort not to derail the thread further, I took this to freepmail.
But since you just freepmailed that you wanted it posted on the open forum, here you go:
#1: You've claimed I didn't answer Biker Barbs questions to me. Since you're making the charge, it's up to you to back it up. (For the record, I did answer her questions and you're wrong).
#2: My first post on this thread was at #894 to Rebel_Yell2. Byker Babs responded to that post and said that freepers were appalled by Rebel's posts because (and it sounded like) some freepers are sending their sons and daughters to rescue him (#894). I asked her to point out which freepers had family involved in extraction efforts; she didn't respond.
At post #910, Byker Babs said I've chosen freepers to burn in hell. It's relatively easy to read between my first post at #894 and #910 to see that I never said anything even close to that. So then I called her a liar because it is a lie.
Byker Babs said I was stalking her; not to be picky or anything (LOL) but she posted to me first. Kind of hard to justify her stalking charge but it's clear this freeper doesn't mind lying.
Now you're asking me what Biker Babs has to do with you. You are the one who asked in #1125 if I was going to get you banned too (a direct reference to Biker Babs) and again referenced that banned poster in #1143.
You must have missed Post #994 where someone outright told Byker Babs they were hitting the abuse button. And you must have missed where the mods told Biker Babs to stop and she argued with them.
3) Then in #1128, I clearly said you weren't lying about Rebel. Then I said it again in #1139. But that wasn't good enough for you. You kept posting you weren't going to let me get away with saying that you'd lied.
4) I answered the "you all" question several times now, despite your saying I didn't. (#1158, #1171, #1173).
When you admit you're wrong that I haven't answered your questions previously, we can discuss this further. This post pretty clearly reflects that I've responded to you numerous times about your "questions". Until then, have a great day.
BTW....when you work overseas, you know the risks, or at least should. My father has worked on every continent and has told us repeatedly that the State Department is not responsible for getting him out and not to whine and moan about it. Now don't get me wrong, they will try to help, but one should be prepared going in. It is not that I don't have sympathy for those over there, I do, but don't blame the USA and Israel for your job choice.

I'm so relieved for him. I know that every minute i'd be worried that a bomb would fall on the hotel or that Iran would drop a big one on the region.
I think your picture on your homepage needs updating if it was taken while you were on active duty, quite some time ago.
Also, I am curious as to why the quote in your tagline says "former marine"?
His next post was kind of scary though. What did you think of it? Are they coming here, or just getting a ride out of Lebanon?
