Paula Jones had a legitimate lawsuit that was used by Clinton's enemies to show what a hypocrite and a degenerate he was. It became a felony case when he lied about it under oath and then when he tampered with witnesses and evidence. His own justice department would have put someone in prison for the same behavior, and did.

The Plame lawsuit is meritless from the get-go. It ought to be dismissed following a 12(b) motion, as I don't think they have stated facts sufficient to plead a case. If it survives past the pleading stage, Wilson and Plame will be the ones who flame out, not the defendants. I would also consider some defamation countersuits were I the defendants.

No comparison, except that the motives are similar--get your political enemies with a civil lawsuit. The difference is the the suit against Clinton was well-founded factually and legally.
