Not true. Ophiophobia is an acquired trait in primates and mice tossed into a snake cage show no apparent fear of the snake.

YEC "snake charmers" seem to have evolved beyond this evolutionary setback. To us the earth is flat which makes it easy for us to just reach out and grab those little buggers.

Babies do not have fears of snakes and spiders. These fears reach their peak about age three, when kids are likely to wander away from their parents.
