Yes, just leave it to the liberal Canadians to push the queer agenda in the schools. Pander, pander. Barf bucket please.

They're ruining the lives of these children. But I guess it doesn't matter to them. Children are the result of heterosexual activity. Homosexual activity can't produce children. This is one of the many ways the gay lobby "gets even" with heterosexuality for being normal.

...offering suggestions on how to make their schools friendlier for queer and questioning students potential recruits come September.

There, fixed it.

How would they have reacted to "Smear the Queer" we played in elementary school?

Canada has gone beyond pushing the gay agenda. People can, and have been, fined for speech considered anti-gay. A teacher, I'm fairly certain from Victoria also, was fired for writing a letter to the editor opposing gay advocacy in the school. BTW, that wasn't a typo. I did mean to say "fined" and not "fired" in the second sentence. The following sentece was another example of the type of repercussions going on up there.

This is SO misdirected.

Bully says to a smaller kid wearing glasses that gets good grades ... "You little nerd .." SMACK.
--- ordinary bullying, teachers ignore it

Bully says to a fat kid ... "You fat tub of lard .." SMACK.
--- ordinary bullying, teachers ignore it

Bully says to a smaller kid wearing glasses that looks a little effeminate ... "You little fag ..." SMACK
--- HATE CRIME HOMOPHOBIA HATE CRIME HOMOPHOBIA, bully is drawn and quartered.

If it is wrong for one kid to bully another and hit him, it is wrong no matter what he says.

If it is wrong for a bully to say hateful things in an attempt to belittle another kid, it is wrong no matter what hot button he pushes.

Focusing on homosexuality (particularly for kids who probably haven't done anything yet!!) is focusing on the wrong problem. And actually creates resentment against the "protected" homosexuals.

From the article...

> It's a really 'othering' statement," she continues.
> "It's a way of saying 'those are other people, not us.'"

They need to make up their minds. They are either a subgroup with their own identities -- in which case they are obviously 'othered' -- or they are just like everyone else. They can't be both.

"Using the term "that's so gay" perpetuates discrimination and impacts the emotional safety of students--"

You can't call them a$#holes, either, because some will become sexually aroused, I guess then....

Get a grip, America, these faggots and dykes deserve ZERO respect or accomodation of their sexual devience (oops...not PC...make that "alternative lifestyle" for you PC'ers)

Good GRIEF. "That's so gay", is teenage-speak for dumb, weird, or what have you.

The pro-homosexual crowd and the PC nannies would do well to remember that the word "gay", means happy, carefree, merry, etc.

Whiney babies.

And a self-described "queer" advisory committee does not set itself apart as "otherly"?

These people are nuts.

"I felt like we were not getting far enough fast enough when it came to that phrase."

"I noticed that there were several instances of people actually voicing their OWN values instead of those we were trying to transplant into their heads. As you can imagine, as a good educator, I was appalled. So I determined then and there to wipe out this creeping cancer of individual thought and mold these troublemakers it into glorious GroupThinkers."

"It's a really 'othering' statement," she continues. "It's a way of saying 'those are other people, not us.'"

Uh, that's because Those are other people, not us. Language serves to communicate reality or to obscure it.

Kids, from now on you have to say "That's so gay - not that there's anything wrong with that"
