BEIRUT - Two British journalists, introduced as removed by Hezbollah by a senior police officer, in fact were briefly retained by the police force and slackened, a person in charge for the Lebanese police force indicated.

The gist of #48 is - the British journalists were not abducted by Hezbollah. They were briefly detained by the Lebanon police and released.
