Man charged with threatening Bill Clinton

A man was accused Wednesday in an indictment of making threats against former President Clinton.
James L. Williford, 57, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for allegedly making threatening remarks about Clinton at a chiropractic clinic in Edmond on July 12.
Three employees at the Edwards Chiropractic Clinic told investigators they heard Williford threaten to "bust a cap," or shoot, Clinton, according to an affidavit.
During an interview with Secret Service agents, Williford denied threatening Clinton but said he believed Clinton was "a communist mole for the Red Chinese," the affidavit said.
Williford, of Oklahoma City, also made violent remarks about celebrity Paris Hilton during the interview, the affidavit said.

Either Clinton was a communist mole, or he was so incompetent that he might as well have been.

If someone doesn't make a direct threat, or can be connected to a plot to kill someone, ANYone, I see no basis for a case......there is no crime. I can understand an in depth interview, but not an indictment or conviction. This is supposed to be America, not the USSR.

Violent remarks? Think about that.
I recall someone "threatening" Bush about a month ago:
"In an outrageous remark that has at least one Republican calling for his resignation, New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi said Thursday that a fellow New York Democrat would "put a bullet between the president's eyes if he could get away with it."
Why isn't Hevesi facing 5 years and a 250,000 fine?
