United States to play an active role in trying to resolve the conflict?...... 65% want the United States to stay out of it.

U.S. troops as part of an international peacekeeping force on the border between Lebanon and Israel? ........45% say okay 42% say no

sympathize with Israel?.....57%

sympathize with Hezbollah?......4%

sympathize with neither?.......39%

Israel has gone too far??.....31%

Israel done "it" about right??......35%

Israel been too easy on them???.....14%

Most Republicans say Israel should continue to attack until the threat is eliminated; most Democrats prefer a cease fire.
