LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Oscar-nominated character actor Jack Warden, best known for starring alongside Warren Beatty in "Shampoo" and "Heaven Can Wait," has died at 85, his longtime business manager said.
Warden, who appeared in dozens of films and won an Emmy award as the star of the 1980s TV series "Crazy Like a Fox," died on Wednesday in New York, business manager Sidney Pazoff said.
Warden, who was born John Lebzelter in New Jersey and began acting after serving in World War Two, had a breakthrough role in "Twelve Angry Men" in 1957.
Pazoff said the veteran character actor had retired several years ago and had been suffering from medical problems in recent years.
He was always enjoyable. RIP.
Geez, that's terrible. Oh, and "Heaven Can Wait" was like the least of his accomplishments. Check out "Shampoo" and some of the tv stuff he did.
Another guy who could do it all.
Rest in peace.
God rest him. He did a lot of good acting.
I loved the part he played in "While You Were Sleeping."
I really enjoyed watching him. Just caught him again the other night in The Verdict, with Paul Newman.
"Used Cars" is #4 on my Blockbuster rental que.
Jack Klugman is now the last remaning of the '12 Angry Men'
He was good, real good in that movie..
He was played a great part in one of the funniest sleeper movies of all time: "Used Cars".
It's not his most famous film, but I thought he was fabulous as the President in "Being There."
He was great as the gun-toting Judge in "And Justice for All."
Was trying to find a picture of that.
GREAT image.
I remember him in this unforgetable episode of Twilight Zone with John Dehner , Ted Knight and Jean Marsh :

RIP, Mr. Warden, and thank you for the characters you brought to life with your talent.
Dude, that's just cruel & unusual.
