News reports say Farber showed up at the traffic scene b/c Goober, er, ah I mean Gomer, was ferrying "confidential state documents" presumably concerning law enforcement, in his private car.

Doesn't that excuse just make it worse: does he have an official capacity with the state, other than bedding (presumably) its Attorney General? Or is he a bonded courier?
