Nada. He fell in love with the Navy(Sec. of the Navy) and did a hell of a job with them.
I think having served as the Sec of the Navy really did prepare him for the War.

He fell in love with the NavyI recall reading that once, when the moonbats of his day accused him of allowing Pearl Harbor to get us in the war (Roosevelt Knew! He knew what?), he said he would never do anything to harm the Navy, he LOVED the Navy.
