I keep waiting for the Religion Of Peace TM to condemn Hezbollah's record of torture, kidnappings and mass murder. We're angry at those who harm innocent people. Southland Muslims are angry at the Israelis for trying to stop them. There's a world of difference right there.

Tayeh, author of A Muslim's Guide to American Politics and Government, came to Denver from Washington to motivate local Muslims to take a stand on the unfolding crisis.

The part of the public discourse that they're really ticked off about: Lebanon can't control their own country, let alone prevent anyone from invading them. The knowledge that Israel can attack anyplace in Syria by their own choosing and timing. The belief of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan that it's about time that someone knocks out Hezbollah.

These things are distressing to them.

As for the governor and mayor attending somewhere and being upset about it - might be wise to actually wait until /after/ they attend the event before getting pissy over it. Preemptive protesting an event, of course, is a license that wackaloons exercise constantly.
