Is Israel simply supposed to endure the death of its citizens, its children?
If Lebanon's Christians and Muslims cannot endure war, then they must root out the cause of that war.
There is one way to stop the death and destruction, and you, and me, and Benedict XVI and Father Ksas know what that is.
I don't see what Father is complaining about. There's been plenty of fireworks.
But I also pray for our enemies: Stop the war, we care also about your children!
Your enemies are the Hizzies all around you, you brain-dead dhimmi. If you cared about children on either side of the border, you'd call out the terrorists, instead of sucking up to them.

Dan Halutz ordered the IAF to knock down 10 buildings in Beirut for evry Katyusha fired.
Another Deja vu:
General Lammerding, commanding the Division Das Reich, ordered the execution of 3 frenchmen for every wounded german soldier and 10 frenchmen executed for every killed german soldier.
From that site it appears Israel has killed only children. In fact it appears their position is that Israel is conduction an ongoing genocide against Lebanese children.
Hey Israel, You Missed One!
Those are indeed horrific photos that sicken the stomach of any civilized person. But until independent and objective sources confirm that Israel's bombing was indiscrimiate and not part of a miltary strategy, I'll withold judgment. History has shown that Jews have been the least likely to murder, are and have been engaged in struggles of self defense, and for these reasons they should be given benefit of any doubt.

Civilian death is inevitable when Hezbollah terrorists hide in civilian homes and mount their rocket launchers in civilian neighborhoods.
Hezbollah is getting exactly the reaction it wants from you.
So you are saying that Israel is wrong in defending herself against Hisbollah?
"Are they united against Hezbollah too?"
Evidently not.
Good is evil and evil is good in the Middle East. The Lebanese are totally screwed up, including half the Christians.
Hezbollah, not Hisbollah.
According to Drudge, the U.S. MSM is getting ready to fall into line with the terrorist P.R. offensive claiming Israel targets "children."
(I suspect much of what we may hear out of Beirut from Christians are false expressions of unity borne of fear of reprisal from the Islamic militants.)
Not quite. The calls for unity are real. There are real efforts by Christians and other Lebanese to get the Shiites to turn away from Hezbollah, and toward Lebanon. We want to earn their loyalty by being there for them during their darkest hour. I haven't heard of any Lebanese Christian supporting Hezbollah. People need to separate comments regarding Hezbollah vs comments regarding the civilian Shiite population.
The more I read from Lebanese sources, the more I am convinced that, in fact, Israel wants the death of ALL children.
A tradition for the media of the region.
It would certainly be wonderful if the Christians could somehow win over the hearts and minds of their Islamic countrymen, but history seems to indicate otherwise. I wish them luck.
Here is what Bridgett Gabriel, a Lebanese Maronite had to say:
"Thank You Israel
For the millions of Christian Lebanese, driven out of our homeland, "Thank you Israel," is the sentiment echoing from around the world. The Lebanese Foundation for Peace, an international group of Lebanese Christians, made the following statement in a press release to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert concerning the latest Israeli attacks against Hezbollah:
"We urge you to hit them hard and destroy their terror infrastructure. It is not [only] Israel who is fed up with this situation, but the majority of the silent Lebanese in Lebanon who are fed up with Hezbollah and are powerless to do anything out of fear of terror retaliation."
Their statement continues, "On behalf of thousands of Lebanese, we ask you to open the doors of Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport to thousands of volunteers in the Diaspora willing to bear arms and liberate their homeland from [Islamic] fundamentalism.
We ask you for support, facilitation and logistics in order to win this struggle and achieve together the same objectives: Peace and Security for Lebanon and Israel and our future generations to come."
Gabriel tells her readers that the Islamists have held Lebanon hostage ever since the Israeli withdrawal in 2000, assisted by Syria and its intelligence services. The only solution possible is to have Israel destroy the Islamist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, because the Lebanese are powerless to do it for themselves.
Let's hope it works out that way. Israel needs to be careful to avoid attacking non-Hezbollah areas or at least doing so in as limited a manner as possible. We need a democratic and independent Lebanon, and the non-terrorist Lebanese deserve it."
The response would be to release the two Israeli soldiers.... I take it you dont read the papers?
No. Nor do I think every military action they have taken in the last two weeks falls within that description.
