Wouldn't you agree?

No, as a matter of fact, I don't. You're a disruptor, or else a useful tool for disruption. Anyone who thinks we'd be better off with Philth the gargoyle is a genuine fool, in addition to being a tool.

So who's getting your vote for Gov, Maggie?

"With records falling around the state that date back to the 1890's, it appears you are speaking of your area of California only."

No, I mean the whole western U.S. actually. The 'records' are contrived; they change the stations at which they measure the temps. The policy in the '50s was to measure temps at the coolest part of town; now the policy is to use the hottest part of town. In many cases, they actually destroyed the old stations to confound the process.

"It's no secret excessive heat exposes and triggers weaknesses in the respiratory and coronary systems that do lead to death."

Yes, but it's also no secret that they deliberately attribute all the deaths that they possibly can to heat without justification.

"It might surprise you to know dairy farmers in the state have reported thousands of their dairy cows have died during this heat wave and milk production is off 15% as a result."

Dairy cattle die every day, from their general poor health. Few dairies even monitor the health of their cattle, for a number of reasons:
1. If they know that a cow is diseased, then they are required to take it out of production - bad for the bottom line.
2. It's cheaper to buy more cattle than to spend the money to have the animals checked regularly.

As for any loss of production, dairy farmers are whinners that are constantly looking for a handout. I'll believe the production loss when it shows up in the quarterlies.

Don't worry about Philthy Pill, Arnold has essentially already won the election. The statistical pointers are all in his column.

A conservative, of course.

There are several Republican candidates who qualified to run for governor. I will decide as the election draws closer.

Two things are certain. I will not vote for a socialist, Angelides, or a liberal, Schwarzenegger.

Even if Schwarzenegger were a conservative, which he is not, I wouldn't vote for him because he is a citizen of a foreign country. From 1776 until 1984 it was illegal for candidates holding foreign citizenship to run for high public office in the US. Ditto in California from 1850 to 1984.

FRESNO, Calif. - The state's record-setting heat wave has killed thousands of dairy cows and other livestock, leaving farmers with piles of carcasses and creating a backup at factories that turn the dead animals into pet food.  Ref:  Heat causes pileup of livestock carcasses

I agree dairies are one of the leading industries looking for government handouts.  Nonetheless dairy cows are dropping dead in record numbers during this heat wave, and if not by the heat, but due to other health factors unrelated to the heat as you claim, it might be basis to quarantine the all cattle within the state.

As for where temperatures are taken, here in Fresno we have two points. One, downtown Fresno has been the official point of record for over a century. The other is Fresno/Yosemite Airport with much less weather history.

I'm not worried about Phil, but very concerned about the number of people not seeing this election as an opportunity to move Tom McClintock further as Lt. Governor behind Arnold.

" it might be basis to quarantine the all cattle within the state."

I agree, but it will never happen, nor will the use of the flesh of diseased animals to feed other animals ever be stopped.

I won't vote for him either then. Anybody that pushes the idea that voting for a liberal, whether dem or rep, is a vote for the conservative movement doesn't get my vote.
