McClintock is supporting Arnold.
So? I still don't like Swartzenegger.
Tom can vote for him if he wants. I'm not.
Here's my 2-bits worth:
I am somewhat disapointed with Arnold. The main reason being his handling of the special election. All good issues, and much needed. The California Republican Party and Arnold totally dropped the ball.
Waiting until the last two weeks before the election to finally run a few tepid ads in the face of 8 months hammering by the dems was stupid. Arnold should have been out front stumping for each and every one of those issues and explaining , with the help of the party, why each one was needed.
Instead, there was virtual silence until it was too late. What the hell was he thinking? Where were the press conferences? Where were the Leno and other TV appearances he could have arranged?
He went "Missing in Action" when leadership was needed most. He dropped the ball and let those of us who supported him and these issues down.
And, to add insult to injury, he did a mea-culpa, not to apologize to conservatives, but to the libs who spent 8 months lying through their teeth. They cut off his balls and put them in a pickle jar the speakers office.
And I won't even discuss his waffling on the illegal alien issue.
The only reason I am considering voting for him again is that, as yet, there is no viable alternative. That and the fact that he has held the line on taxes. But even there, he bowed to the libs and used the tax windfall to buy favors instead of pay down the debt or send it back the taxpayers.
