Just back from the White House press conference with Nouri Al-Maliki and I'm struck by a couple of things: It was the Iraqi prime minister's first ever visit to the White House and yet the White House allowed just two questions from the American and Iraqi press. So many issues remained unaddressed. It would seem to me that the president would want a fuller airing of his views on a subject severely undermining his political status at home and U.S. policy abroad.
Here's what I would have asked: "Mr. President, you argued before the war that invading Iraq would bring stability to a vital region of the world and would create a new stage of Arab-Israeli peace. Yet today, sectarian violence in Iraq is killing 100 civilians a day in Baghdad; Democratic reform has produced Hamas and Hezbollah; U.S. policy has also created a defiant, resurgent Iran. Do you acknowledge fundamental misjudgments about the war and what do you do about them now?"
I sure would like to know the answer to that question.

How did Gregory figure out that W created Iran? All the history books have been systematically altered to conceal his involvement!
There's only one answer: send David Gregory as an embedded reporter with a Hezzbolah guerilla unit, and he can see first hand why....
Of course if he becomes "imbedded" instead of "embedded", that's the way it goes.....
Is he saying that this is all Bush's fault?
How can so much stupid be collected into one person?
Peace is not a light switch. It moves slowly. That is a good thing. Things that change quickly are apt to change back just as fast

David, David, David...shut up and dance.
W to dip shit:
David, show me where I said that?
David sure does demonstrate his ignorance with his proposed question; specifically:
"Democratic reform has produced Hamas and Hezbollah; U.S. policy has also created a defiant, resurgent Iran. Do you acknowledge fundamental misjudgments about the war and what do you do about them now?"
His implications that all things wrong with terrorists, and the how-many-years of mid east imbalance is all due to President Bush. Bush created Hamas and Hezballah?
David is an msnbc employee -- stupidity is a requirment to work there, and boy does he sure demonstrate it in this question. If he had asked it, I would expect the President to have laughed out loud at its ignorance.
There are some things that I would ask, too. But then, I am under no illusions that I am important enough that I have any reason to expect to require answers to them. And I certainly don't expect to be able to tell the president who he can and cannot talk to. And those who think more highly of themselves need to get over themselves.
I sure would like to know the answer to that question. That's not a question, buffoon. That's a premise disguised as a question.
Bill Clinton would be the one, if anyone's policies did. Or is he saying these organizations and Iran's nuclear/destroy Israel ambitions didn't exist or grow during the eight years of Clinton? Not to mention the utter surrender policies of Jimmy Carter?
Poor David...
Alzheimers is tough>>>I know from a sad family situation>>>but especially tough in one so young and in such a visible job.
Gregory is certainly impressed with his own importance, it's like he thinks someone else cares what he thinks.
Well double do-do. Sounds like Davey got his panties in a bunch.
That just about says it all. I believe that he just likes to hear himself talk and he thinks that he is so wise.
Perfect quote, perfectly presented.
Monkey boy speaks! And it's crap!
