Asked about talk among Democrats earlier of boycotting al-Maliki's address, White House press secretary Tony Snow said, "Let me try to explain democracy to people on Capitol Hill. It involves such rights as free speech and freedom of opinion.

"The president is not a puppeteer in this case. He's not pulling the strings of Prime Minister al-Maliki. Prime Minister al-Maliki is the duly elected leader of a sovereign state, and as a result, has rights to his opinions."

This is an excellent point. All of the complaining about al-Maliki's position on the Israeli/Hezbollah conflict overlooks a profound reality: democracy is being practiced in Iraq.

It also dispells the common anti-war tripe about the Iraqi government being a Bush puppet.

The concept of democracy is truly elusive to the anti-war left, which likely explains their offense to the Iraq achievement.

The Left really believe in totalitarianism. That is why they can criticize President Bush for doing something, or for not doing something. They wish that the Leader of the US was a magician.

That is why they use "Imperialism" as a talking point. They are the believers in Imperial Powers.

It took me a while to figure this out but I discovered that Liberals and Socialists embrace totalitarianism in the name of their self defined Liberal Utopia. All Utopias end with no freedom, and have only a dictation by the state of how one must act and speak in a Utopia. We call it Political Correctness Culture, which requires no rational thought.

That is why people like Anne Coulter seek to destroy the idea of a Liberal Socialist Utopia, or of any Utopia for that matter. Freedom is lost on liberals socialists and democrats because of their Utopian culture. They all want HEAVEN on earth right now, an impossibility. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE GODLESS!!!!!

That goes for our RINOs as well, who milk Liberal socialist Utopia merely for the sake of gaining personal power.

Further, if these democrats had had their way, we would not have removed Saddam from power. If by some miracle he had died anyway, and the majority had taken over Iraq after his death, that majority would have been Shiites, friendly with Iran, and would have despised us. There would have been civil war as well.

In other words, every bad thing happening in Iraq would have happened anyway, but with leadership that was a dictatorship instead of a democracy, and which was allied with Iran and the enemy of the United States.

It's easy for the democrats to complain things didn't turn out perfectly, but harder for them to explain how their alternate universe would have been any better.

Ann Coulter did a great job debunking Kerry's attempt to paint an alternative universe where he is president and somehow destroyed Hezbollah so we don't have the Israel-Lebanon conflict.
