Morales, the drugdealer and Chavez supporter who is currently president of Bolivia, is trying to replace Catholicism in Bolivia with his own brand of indigenous paganism - a return to the pre-Columbian pantheon of Indian deities.

His minister of culture boasts of performing animal sacrifices in government offices.

Mr. Morales does seem to be a pagan, at first glance at least. Chav<é>z seems to be more of an atheist and closer to Mr. Castro of Cuba. They both seem to be manipulating Morales. da Silva (Brazil) and Kirchner (Argentina) and others are leftist, but not of the violent and rhetoric-driven sort--yet.
