Shows up on google now (under keyword "Israel")

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d&q=israel

if it doesn't show up it's because Google removed it. Wouldn't want the world to know that Hezbollah is attacking hospitals.

I like Blair - laying out how this started and how Hezbollah violated the U.N resolution, armed, planned and attacked.

Improved Hezebola guidance systems or just blind bad luck?

The United Nations has decided to remove 50 unarmed observers from posts along the Israeli-Lebanese border and relocate them ...

Uh-oh, the Hezbos lost their spotters!

2,000 lightly armed U.N. peacekeepers

as good as unarmed and unlikely to keep the peace if there even was any to keep

I was wondering what kind of troops would go into this situation as "lightly armed""peacekeepers" and immediately thought of McKinney, Sheehan, Code Pink, Boxer, ...

In France, President Jacques Chirac said his country will press for the rapid adoption of a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire in Lebanon, his office said.

I am just so impressed by this manly plan of action. Heh.

An Israeli worker of Nahariya's hospital in northern Israel looks at the damage in a room hit by a rocket, fired by Hezbollah guerrillas from Lebanon, Friday, July 28, 2006. Israel decided not to expand its battle with Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon for now, but the Cabinet authorized the army to call up 30,000 reserve soldiers in case the fighting intensified. Israel needs to stop toying with its food and start obliberating Hezbellah...

If Hezbollah had traditional armed forces (like the Arab enemies Israel faced in '67 and '73) that would be an easy task. But, as we know from our experiences in Iraq, fighting a terrorist org is a whole lot more difficult in many respects.

Jacques Chirac, man of Peace. According to him, if France is attacked by terrorists it is acceptable for France to retaliate with nuclear weapons. However, for Israel to use tanks and jets is just over the top.

There is no shortage of walnuts. They don't have unlimited resources (money, fuel, ordnance, manpower).

So they have to be judicious about how they respond.

JPost is reporting that IAF killed a "senior Hizbullah Official," but it's only a banner headline - no story yet.

Well, the MSM has been reporting the Body Count Scorecard for the last two weeks, noting that there are 600 dead Hezbians and only 150 dead Israelis, as if to say the problem here is that there are not enough dead Jews.

What the MSM does not say is that the Jews have the good sense to get out of harm's way and not leave their children around in the areas where the rockets are most likely to land.

Actually, this particular terrorist organization may have made a bad mistake by staying in southern Lebanon. First you cut off their escape routes. The Israelis are clearly trying to do this by bombing certain roads, ports, and infrastructure. Then you bomb them directly from the air and with artillery. This is also ongoing. And then you move in for the kill with ground troops. This is the hardest part, and where the politicians and diplomats will be most susceptible to not allowing the military to finish the job.

Typical crAP; start off blaming Israel, then barely note Hezbollah (side note; should we replace the "H" with a "L"?)

If Sharon were still in charge....does anyone think this would be going differently? For some reason its as if Israels army is just paralyzed.

I think the answer is that Syria and Iran have real capability and they been sharing it in huge quantities and Hezbollah has had years to fortify and plan and lots of money.
