"He considers himself, and is considered by others, to be part of the paleoconservative wing of conservatism, although he claims to have received harsh criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. In recent years, he has become increasingly known as an opponent of free-trade agreements like NAFTA, and the World Trade Organization, and a critic of the administration of George W. Bush. He is opposed to the Iraq War, and writes frequently on the subject.
He is a member of the controversial VDARE.com editorial collective, an internet group that favors immigration reduction and has been deemed racist by critics. His writings frequently appear on Antiwar.com, on Lew Rockwell's web site, and Alexander Cockburn's left-wing site CounterPunch.
During the 2004 Presidential Election in the U.S., Roberts endorsed the Democratic candidate, John Kerry, for president."

Not only that:
About two years ago, he teamed up with Sen. Chuckie-Cheese "I Love Israel More than Anybody" Schumer (Socialist, N. Y.)in connection with a study purporting to show how bad free trade is for the economy.
This odd couple held a big joint press conference, that was featured prominently on C-Span. The study was total balderdash -- so much so that apparently it didn't even create a "buzz" in left-wing circles.
Maybe somebody in the right-wing media should get the tape of that joint appearance and re-run, re-run, re-run it to the max. It surely would give Chuckie a warm, fuzzy feeling!
