He mentioned Judith Miller, but I didn't see anything that made me think that he was pandering to the New York Times.

I do find the timing of this legislation unfortunate. Here we're trying to take down the New York Times for publishing leaked secrets thereby aiding and abetting the enemy, and now we're considering legislation that may make it harder to find out who leaked.

We'll have to agree to disagree on pandering. I could name some other Republicans and nearly all Democrats who I believe crave the approval of the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC,ABC, CBS, CNN, etc. Kind of makes me wonder why I bother to vote.

I guess I should end this on a happier note. Just think of Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney, President Bush, Henry Hyde, Don Rumsfeld, Senator Santorum, Senator Coburn, Senator Inhofe, Senator Jon Kyle, Zell Miller and others. They don't care a rat's ass what the NY Times thinks of them.

On the other hand, you have the likes of Lindsey Graham who wakes up every morning thinking of nothing else.
