You are absolutely correct. My Congresscritters are on a first name basis since "immigration", finally, became an issue. I have emailed, phoned, visited offices and hounded them nearly every day. It can be done people, but it does take effort!

Are you a student or teacher of history, btw? just curious. No. Just a loudmouth. But I was a true believer in the 80s and saw the Reagan Revolution kneecapped by the Bushies. By 1988, the primary was a struggle between Bush and Dole. What a sick joke on conservatives.

The Republican Party in Alaska is also split. In fact it is in its normal state of disarray. Gov Murkowski is currently third in polls before the primary 22 Aug, but coming on fast. The next Governor could be a Democrat.

And they view conservatives the same way the Dems view blacks.
You hit the nail on the head. The GOP is not Conservative!

Frist is, I think, a good and thoroughly decent person, If you are a cat lover, don't read his autobiography.

So many of the whiners and whimperers have never been elected to anything. They should try it sometime. Roger, that.

Make that vocally noticeable.. ;-)
Amen and Amen, btw . Thanks! :-)
What's the point of having a revolution if the spoils of victory are lost to and commandeeres by those least deserving of them?

True. Almost all actual debate now takes place entirely within the Republican party. A lot of people don't realize that there really aren't enough conservatives to form a majority, if we could even agree on what being a conservative means. There's absolutely no debate or initiative inside the Democratic party, once you get past "Bushitler", "Cut and run in Iraq," "socialize medicine," and "legalize homosexual marriage," all of which have been soundly rejected by around 60-70% of the population. The attempted elimination of Joe Lieberman demonstrates that the Democrat core is so ideologically driven that there is no room for any debate within the party. Traditional liberals looked for a new home. They found it with the Republicans. Rudy Guliani is an excellent example. He is not ideologically pure enough to be a Rat, even though he favors tradional democrat positions about 70% of the time.

I agree with most of what you say here but it is just all the more reason to voice our conservative opinions even more. Rush now has 13-15 million listeners, it would be fine with me if he had 50 million.

They are more interested in getting themselves reelected than in any principal, let alone an American principal.
