Don't get all self righteous on me now. I fully realize my approval means nothing, as it should...

The Congress, as we know, didn't impeach him so clearly they realized that if they stuck wild Bill in jail they all were in serious trouble because everyone of them would have been dealing with implications/allegations of all sorts that would have threatened their careers...inherently their actions prove my theory right despite what legally should have been done...

You confuse impeach and convict. The House Impeached, the Senate refused to convict.

BTW they could not put him in jail. That would have been done in another criminal trial later if it had happened at all. Congress would not have been involved.

Please, read up on what impeachment is.
