There was a cool show called "connections" a while back. Bear with me while I make a few 'connections' here.

Liberals, namely FDR, have massively increased the tax burden on families. That tax burden has become so burdensome that moms have to go to work to keep the family at a comfortable standard of living (ok, we don't need mcmansions with 3 gar carages stuffed with suv's and boats, but...) so in order for mom to work we need day care and day care people don't necessarily have the kids best interests in mind, so they let kids play videos games ad nauseum, and feed them cheap high fat snacks to keep them shut up, so, in conclusion, liberals are responsible for kids poor health.

There's truth to your theory, but at the same time I've read stories about how taking on another income and putting your kids in day care actually may cost you more in the long run financially. Couples would be better off with one parent staying home once you really factor-in all the expenses.

Of course this also would include the ancillary benefits of having an actual parent raising their own child.

"Connections" was from the mid '70's, and a very cool program, but more than 'a while back' (just teasing). And you're right about liberals but IMO for the wrong reasons.

When I was a kid way back in the stone age (mid 50's to early 60's), we could go anywhere, and go there alone. It was safe. No crazies and perverts hiding around each and every corner. And this was in Chicago.
But who freed the crazies and perverts from the mental institutions and jails to roam at will - LIBERALS!
Then there was the actual act of 'playing'. From Sunrise 'til Sundown we were outside playing and in almost all weather. Baseball or Softball (Chicago 16" style), War, Football, Tag, Marbles, Hide and seek, Snowball fights, etc. We'd go to the Park and 'play' on the Monkey Bars or fish in the lagoon and Ice Skate in winter. We'd ride our bicycles anywhere we pleased (again, it was safe). And even on occasion hop a slow freight train for a ride to the Park (stoo-pid, but hey we were kids). Then there were our Bows and Arrows and 'hunting' rabbits after a winter snow in the 'prairies' (a Chicago thing).
But who put an end to all of that - LIBERALS and their stinking LIBERAL LAWYERS (If your kid has a snowball fight today, expect a Lawsuit to follow).

Yes, no doubt LIBERALS and their LAWYERS are the sole cause of all of todays ills in society. Because it's no longer 'safe' and the kids will have cardiacs at 23 as they weigh 375 pounds because if they venture outside 'to play' a lawsuit is waiting.

I won't even mention the fights we had amongst each other. Sheesh, today we'd all be in prison for Assault and Battery - thanks to LIBERALS.
