.......common mistake.....John Dean...not Howard Dean.. one a screaming megalomaniac....the other.....a soft spoken megalomaniac......who both hate conservatives....they could be cousins I guess

NO not THAT Dean. The John W. Dean of Nixon fame. Interesting background from Nick Gillespie, who works for the Libertarian-oriented Reason journal. Barry Goldwater in his dotage morphed from a conservative to a libertarian. And of course all those "holy rollers" types never sat well with those in the Republican Party who don't give a damn about values issues. They see those Republicans who genuinely believe in them as Hard Right authoritarians. So maybe Dean is channeling Goldwater; who knows.
