Houses lie in ruins in the Lebanese southern village of Qana, one day after Israel air strikes killed at least 52 Lebanese civilians, including 30 children. Shock and fury at an Israeli air strike that killed 52 Lebanese civilians, mostly sleeping children, rippled across the world from the United Nations to the streets of Arab capitals.(AFP/Nicolas Asfouri)

A rescue worker puts the body of a dead girl on a gurney after Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanese village of Qana. Fifty-two people were killed, many of them sleeping children, when Israeli warplanes blitzed the Lebanese village of Qana, triggering global outrage and warnings of retribution for a "war crime" as a ceasefire appeared more remote than ever.(AFP/Nicolas Asfouri)

Lebanon's top religious figures called on the international community to end its silence over the Israeli hostilities in the country

Funny how when a islamic terrorist group kidnaps soldiers/civilians, send suicide bombers in pizza parlors and fires hundreds of rockets randomly into population centers - that is not being "hostile" ...

And I call on Lebanon's top religious figures to end its silence over the attacks on Israel, being waged by their very own terrorist organization, hizballah!

said the international community's silence over the massacre and UN's failure to reach a decision for a cease-fire are a "mark of disgrace."

It is a "mark of disgrace" that Israel defends itself? I don't buy it. As far as I'm concerned the Catholic Information Center can bury its head back into the sand.

Hand their butt to them Israel, "Peace through Victory". The only Peace which ever lasts any length of time.

They can dish it out (from behind women and children) but they sure can't take it.

Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani met Monday with Iranian Ambassador Mahmoud Rida Shibani, who condemned the Qana massacre and the "international silence over the continuous Israeli hostilities."

****************

I guess "international silence" is defined as "statements that don't agree that we should kill all the Israelis with impunity".

Qabalan called for an immediate end of Israeli hostilities against Lebanon

and urged all the Lebanese to unite and support the resistance.

Sounds fair to me...
