Cutting their lines of supply and flanking them out of their fixed positions.

Well, that would be more like GWI. This was a raid. In and out. The best they could get was a senior hezzie. And there's a thousand talking turbans ready to replace him. That game's whack-a-muz and has little upside. So the value of the raid is not cutting off supplies or flanking or whoever they captured.

That's why I said it feels more like the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. Not really much upside--a few bombs and a few buildings--until the Japanese withdrew their fleet from forward deployment across most of the Pacific in response.

Oh, I think they will be back. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a push from the Golan to the Litani.

"feels more like the Doolittle raid on Tokyo"

Little premature. Let's wait and see who they grabbed. Besides to the muzzie way of thinking and their honor and all that this IS an important slap at them.

All their pomp and show and the Israeli's can fly into one of their home bases, 10 miles from the Syrian border, and get out without any casualties. This is a much bigger deal in that light than you make it to be.

Remember, they also showed that the Lebanese army is not able to stop this type of long distance raid, deep in Lebanon, let alone have the capability to control Hezbullah when there is a "cease fire".

You know how big the honor thing is in the muzzie mind, heck the whole extended family will kill one of their own female children for looking at a strange man. It is a sick bunch.

This raid should not be down played until all the details are in.
