During the Cold War the media were mostly anti-antiCommunist, and the end of that era was attributed to Gorbachev, instead of Reagan and Conservative principles.
When the USSR dissolved, Communists did not disappear, they just changed their approach. Remember the scary threat of Nuclear Winter? That didn't work so the same proponents morphed into the threat of Global Warming. Both ideas promoted to exert greater control of private citizens.
Our battle is within our country, and much of it concerns the 'education' of our children. Example: today's teenage girls grew up admiring Britney Spears. Now people are surprised when some of them show up on Myspace dressed like Victoria's Secret ads. Anything that destroys conservative values is promoted. Anything that supports conservative values, eg the Boy Scouts, has to be destroyed.
