Let's see how long she would get away with desecrating a Koran on stage.

"Knock off the Christ-bashing," Catholic League president Bill Donohue said in a statement. I love it.
I only wish Frank Sinatra could be reached for comment. "That dame better watch it, or she'll be eating a knuckle sandwich, courtesty of the Chairman of the Board."

Maybe Madonna should check out what Jesus did to the money changers in the Temple...

Blasphemy for a cheap showbiz gimmick.

Anyone who climbs up on a cross is courting certain self destruction. Look at what just happened to Mel Gibson.
Madonnoa's foolishness is not only ill conceived, but she is sure to succumb to some mental or physical malaise.
Getting on the cross will assure that she will have every futuire opportunity to offer herself for the salvation of others, whether she wants it or not.
Mel did not rise to the occasion, and Madonna obviously has no hope of being Christ, although she wants to make the attemp and have us worship her, which is what this is all about.
Megalomaniacs both.

During the concerts of her "Confessions" world tour, the American diva appears crucified on a mirrored cross while wearing a crown of thorns. *yawn*
At this point the only thing she could do that would shock me is to shut her mouth.
To: doesnt suffer fools gladly
And she does her shtick while sober.
Compare the msm's reaction to this vs their crucifying of Gibson.

I guess my take on this is if she actually was suspended on a cross so that she had difficulty breathing and the thorns actually drew blood, I'm not offended on behalf of my separated Latin bretheren (since some in their communion do the like as an act of piety in a sort of aesceticism quite foreign to the Orthodox aescetic tradition). If it was just a semblance of a brief crucifixion, I'm offended along with my separated Latin bretheren.

But no apologies or contrition will be necessary on the part of Madonna. This, you see, is only entertainment - certainly less influencial or inflammatory than what Mel Gibson said, once. It's free speech because it denigrates Christ and the cross.
