One thing I have noticed about President Bush and Laura is they try to physically get down to a child's level.
I had a day care center for almost 6 years. When the sweet ones came to me asking a question, I would kneel to look at them eye to eye. OTOH, when discipline was needed, there was no kneeling. They understood.
I miss them..immensely.

Thanks for the dose! It is a wonderful counterpoint to some of the arguments I have elsewhere defending the President!You're welcome, and yes, I agree. Photos like these are a wonderful counterpoint -- and antidote -- to the rough stuff elsewhere.

I think the one of the baby in a diaper is funny (obviously whenever it was taken, it was a hot day).

One thing I have noticed about President Bush and Laura is they try to physically get down to a child's level.You must have been reading my mind, because I was going back over the photos and thinking the same thing. Having been a teacher, I can understand Laura doing that, but GWB seems to do it intuitively. I'm not sure if that's typical of most men -- to try to get down to a child's level.

Now you come to mention it I think I do remeber the one of Laura with the child in the bed but I certainly do not remember the others with Barney on the ground.

BTW, the kittens are three months old. They are sleeping at my feet as I type this. :)
