Chivas USA and Soccer United Marketing have announced that the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has been completely sold out, at a total of 92,650 tickets, for Sunday's doubleheader featuring Chivas USA vs. the New England Revolution, in a Major League Soccer regular-season matchup, and Club Deportivo Guadalajara, Mexico's most popular soccer club, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary, versus European powerhouse FC Barcelona, reigning Spanish and UEFA Champions League winners. Chivas USA vs. New England Revolution kicks off at 4:00 p.m. PT, while Club Deportivo Guadalajara vs. FC Barcelona kicks off at 6:30 p.m. PT. Having sold out more than 48 hours before kickoff, this marks the earliest soccer sellout in Coliseum history.

Hey Cowboy. I'm going to DC United v. Real Madrid here in town on Wednesday. Should be a good crowd at Qwest Field.
Beckham and Adu. Past and the future.
Never mind the haters - the attendance is the only objective indicator.
I'm not sure about that. I saw USA v Guatemala and Brazil v Mexico there in a Gold Cup final about fifteen years ago. My memory is that game was a sellout for a couple of weeks ahead of time. Maybe it's the earliest MLS sellout.
It's a great stadium to see a game in. The crowd noise concentrates, and there's a sort of Romans v. Lions feel to the whole thing.
Only real problem with the Coliseum is that the access is through narrow tunnels that go through the stadium walls. They can get a bit scary when they're packed. Well.... okay... that, and the neighborhood.
