The lawsuit risk is way to great for them to consider that kind of stunt.
There is an excellent novel called
Shockwave Rider that features a genetically modified human central character that can write computer code from a public phone. Said character goes underground, much like the old "Petender" TV series, and by the end of the book has written a data worm that goes into the Internet and deletes ALL data security...everybody and everything is now out in the open. Did you know what those cosmetics will do to you in 20 years? You do now. Is your neighbor a pederast? You know now.
